Bob Quick, GSA Global, Managing Director

Bob spent 32 years with the British Police Service specialising in counter terrorism, anti-corruption and tackling organised crime. Bob served as Chief Constable of Surrey Police and then Assistant Commissioner Specialist Operations at The Metropolitan Police, New Scotland Yard London where he had national responsibility for counter terrorism, the protection of the Royal Family, the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers and visiting Heads of State. During his career he oversaw the investigations into some of the most complex terrorism cases that took place in the UK.

 


Bill TrentBill Trent, GSA Global, Managing Director

Bill joined McKinsey in the 1980s, becoming partner and co-lead of two global practices. He then took on a variety of roles including CFO of a FTSE100 business and an investment bank, advising on restructuring cases and acting as an Expert Witness on conduct of boards and risk management. He began working in cyber security in 2013 and has been a managing director in a leading US adviser on cyber incidents, a leading UK security consultancy and, most recently, Accenture. He has advised global leaders in FS, technology, aerospace & defence and critical national infrastructure, government agencies and their legal advisers on cyber-security, resilience and the handling of major incidents.


Karen EdwardsKaren Edwards FCILEx ILFM(Dip), Head of Professional Development

Karen has worked in private legal practice for over 18 years in a variety of roles, including in law firm management, as Operations Director. After graduating from University in 2005 with a LLB (Hons) Degree in Law Karen then completed her CILEX training to become a Chartered Legal Executive in 2010, which is a lawyer.

In law firm management Karen’s focus has been primarily on financial operations and compliance, (including taking on the roles of COLP and COFA). Karen has extensive experience and a deep understanding of the key business, financial and regulatory requirements of running a law firm, particularly around protecting client money and assets, profitability and cashflow. Karen has a CIMA qualification in Management Accounting, and a Diploma in Legal Finance & Compliance.
