After serving in the Army, Mark spent 10 years as Head of Security at Coopers & Lybrand and later PwC. He then founded Context Information Security, advising major clients on technical testing, incident response, and threat intelligence. After selling the business to Babcock in 2013, he tripled its size before its 2020 acquisition by Accenture, where he became Managing Director. At Accenture, he led the global Incident Response team and later the UK & Ireland Cyber Resilience practice, supporting leading organisations during attacks and in building preventative measures.

Mark helped establish CREST, the industry’s first professional body, and helped the Bank of England design the CREST framework to protect banks and insurers against the most capable adversaries.

Now at GSA, he leads the Cyber Resilience practice, helping organisations measure real risk exposure and implement cost-effective strategies to reduce threats to acceptable levels.
