At GSA Global, Bill leads the firm’s Insider Risk Management services, helping organisations understand, assess and reduce the risks posed by employees, contractors and other trusted insiders. He works with clients to develop effective IRM strategies and programmes, strengthen governance and detection capabilities, and build greater organisational resilience to insider threats.
Bill is also leading the Insider Risk UK collaboration, bringing together expertise and international best practice to strengthen the UK’s approach to insider risk management and foster collaboration with established international centres of excellence.
Bill joined McKinsey in the 1980s, becoming partner and co-head of two global practices. He took on a variety of roles including CFO of a FTSE100 business and an investment bank, advising on restructuring cases and acting as an Expert Witness on advice to boards and risk management.
He began working in cyber security in 2013 and has since held Managing Director roles with a leading US adviser on cyber incidents, a leading UK security consultancy and, most recently, Accenture.
Throughout his career, Bill has advised global leaders across financial services, technology, aerospace and defence, critical national infrastructure and government on insider risk management, cyber security, resilience and the handling of major incidents.
